Why This Matters
Everyone knows someone who has faced domestic violence — a friend, neighbor, classmate, or family member. At Safe Monroe, we serve survivors of all backgrounds and races with emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and practical support. Leaving an abusive situation is one of the bravest decisions a family can make, and the first night after leaving is the most vulnerable.
This October 22, Give for DV. When you give on this day, you are directly helping support survivors.

-
Legal advocacy and court accompaniment
Our shelter is a haven, a place where victims and survivors can find comfort, security, and the ability to explore their options to live independently and free from abuse. The shelter’s location is confidential and secure to ensure the safety of everyone we serve.
