Prevention Education Specialist (Full-Time 37.5 hours/week)

The Prevention Education Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing prevention education programs in schools, community education, and awareness. You will also be responsible for data collection and reporting, advocacy, and crisis response. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as technical skills in multi-media presentation; strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, excellent time management and organizational skills are required. Experience in educational and/or informational program presentations to children and teens is required.

Qualifications needed are a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Social Work, Sociology, or other humanities-related field required). A passion for the mission. Communications Specialist & Designer (Part Time, up to 25 hours/week)

The role involves developing communication strategies, managing social media, creating materials, and updating website content to promote our goals and mission. Additionally, you'll contribute to design projects for fundraising events and attend them. We're looking for someone with outstanding written and visual communication skills; and strong proficiency in social media communication strategies, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress website builder, and Microsoft Office. Also, a deep commitment to supporting survivors, a creative approach, and a passion for the mission and community impact.

Qualifications needed are a Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (e.g., PR, Marketing, communication studies) and or work experience respected. Experience in marketing, outreach, and awareness building is preferred, and nonprofit experience is a plus. Competitive benefits package; salary based on experience. Shelter Counselor/Advocate (Full Time, 2nd Shift partial weekends, 37.5 hours/week)

The successful applicants will possess experience and documented achievements in their work with diverse individuals who have experienced abuse and trauma, and the ability to manage crises with adults and children.

Applicants must possess the ability to work within a residential/shelter setting with families in crisis and be able to work independently within established professional, and ethical boundaries. They must demonstrate strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred and life experience is respected. Must complete a required 69-hour crisis intervention training.
