SUMMARY:Black & White Gala: Celebrating 40 Years of Women's Resources
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \n\nIn light of public health concerns related to the COVID-19 coronavirus and to do our part in inhibiting its spread\, Women’s Resources of Monroe County has made the difficult but prudent decision to cancel our Black & White Gala: Celebrating 40 years of Women’s Resources\, originally scheduled for May 30th\, 2020. We are truly disappointed we couldn’t partner in person this year to celebrate Women’s Resources 40th anniversary. \nWomen’s Resources annual Black & White Gala is our biggest fundraiser of the year\, and we had high expectations that this would be our greatest event to-date. We rely on our gala for approximately one-third of our annual fundraising budget\, and our small-but-mighty team of staff and volunteers prepares for it for many months in advance. During this challenging and uncertain time\, we appreciate all ongoing support from our long-term partners\, donors\, and sponsors that sustain our ongoing programming efforts. \nMany of you have very generously offered to waive part or even all of your registration as a way to support Women’s Resources in the wake of this substantial financial hit. If you would like to donate your registration fee\, please let us know by contacting our Development Director\, Melanie Milo\, at mmilo@wrmonroe.org.\n\nSponsor representatives and partners have been contacted directly. Registrants who do not indicate a preference by May 1\, 2020 will receive an automatic full refund. If you are a sponsor\, media partner\, or guest with additional questions\, please reach out to Women’s Resources Director of Development Melanie Milo using the contact information above. \nWe send our best wishes for the continued good health\, safety\, and well-being of the community. \n\n\n
